A heinous crime on the public highway in Sanaa

Six people were killed on Wednesday evening, December 17, 2025, by gunfire on a public road southeast of the capital, Sanaa.

Local sources reported that a gunman fired a Kalashnikov rifle at a car on Khawlan Street, killing the driver and four women and a child who were on board.

The sources said the attacker fled after the shooting, using the same car from which he carried out the attack.

This is explained by the growing phenomenon of carrying weapons in the streets and neighborhoods of the capital and by the increase in homicides, which requires the intervention of the authorities concerned to reduce this phenomenon, which has become a concern for security and stability.
